Awards, Honors and Grants

The Lebanon Rescue Department is committed to the community. Our volunteers have received multiple honors and awards from Federal, State, County and Local Government. We have also been very fortunate to receive several grants to help purchase equipment we can use to enhance the services to our community while not raising taxes.

We have also been very fortunate with receiving grants. The following are some of the grants we have received since 20o2:

  • Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation - Grant for $5,000 for a new cardiac monitor.
  • Community CPR Grant - Frisbie Hospital - $2,500
  • Homeland Security Money with EMA and Fire, including 6 new AED's, a security system for the station and more, around $75,000.
  • Assistance to Firefighters Grant - 2005 - First Round Selection for nearly $30,000 for new safety gear for our members.
  • A Rural AED grant for one additional AED, about $1,500.
  • A 2008 Polaris 6x6 Off Road Rescue Utility Vehicle - July 2007 - Around $15,000
  • A 2007 Assistance to Firefighters Grant - Nearly $30,000 for safety gear and EMS wellness grant - 9/5/2007
